Dokumentárny film: Život na rovníku

Dokumentárny film “Život na rovníku” sa snaží ukázať prostredníctvom príbehov tínejdžerov z dvoch stredných škôl v meste Nanyuki, že Keňa nie je len o chorobách AIDS alebo malárii. Kenské deti a mládež sú rovnako šikovné a talentované ako rovesníci v Európe. Nie je žiadnym prekvapením, že kenskí mladí ľudia (ako aj hlavná dvojica protagonistov filmu: Ramson a Mary Ann) majú v pláne ísť na univerzitu, pracovať v oblasti poľnohospodárstva a pomôcť svojej komunite na rovníku. Cez optiku dvojice stredoškolákov Ramsona a Mary Ann sledujeme, ako vyzerá neskreslený život v rovníkovej Afrike – ako vníma kenská mládež svoju súčasnosť i budúcnosť. Nazrieme do internátnej školy, masajskej komunity či ukričaného kostola.

Documentary movie: Life on the Equator

The documentary movie “Life on the Equator” tries to show through the stories of two teenagers from high schools in Nanyuki town that visiting Kenya is not only about AIDS or malaria. The African kids and youth are as clever and talented as European young people. It’s no surprise that Kenyan teenagers (also the main protagonists of the movie: Ramson and Mary Ann) have plans to attend the university, work in agriculture area and help their communities on the Equator in future. Through the lens of a pair of high school students: Ramson and Mary Ann we are watching – how undistorted life in equatorial Africa looks like – how Kenyan youth presents its present and future. We will have a look at the boarding school, Maasai community or extraordinary noisy church.
